About Nanoose Bay Camp
“He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul.”
Striving to see every generation be refreshed by the love and life of Jesus.
Whether it’s at one of our summer camps, as a leaseholder, or maybe during a two night stay in one of our cabins, it is our hope and heart that Nanoose Bay Camp would serve every person and every pastor of Vancouver Island. We believe that this place is meant to help you feel restored and refreshed in your spirit, with your family or church. We strive to be a place and community that helps you thrive in your ministry and life by growing closer to Jesus and each other. Let us serve you and let this be a place you can call your second home.
Our History
NBC was established over 60 years ago when a number of visionary leaders and members of PAOC churches of Vancouver Island joined together to establish a retreat centre and unique place for ministry that specifically supports the next generation and its leaders.
A parcel of land, 14 acres located on the west end of Nanoose Bay became the home of Nanoose Bay Pentecost camp in 1949 with the first camp activities in 1951.
The vision of the founders was to provide a place of renewal where individuals and families could gather to foster growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Since the founding of the camp, many youth who have gone through our camping programs have gone on to make valuable contributions to our society as Pastors, Missionaries, professional people and business people.
Nanoose Bay Camp has been successful because of our commitment to training leaders for future generations, fostering a safe atmosphere of acceptance, respect and experiencing the value of working together as a team to accomplish goals and encouraging a spirit of caring for others before self and modeling the value of volunteerism.
Since the Camp’s inception, the number of camping programs has grown from 4 weeks annually to 5 months plus many weekend activities. Our hope is to provide facilities that can be used year round.
Nanoose Bay Pentecostal Camp operates under the auspices of the Nanoose Bay Pentecostal Camp Society.
